Here are some common technical questions and answers:

What is the benefit of valeting?
Aside from making your car look good, one of the primary benefits of having your car professionally valeted on a regular basis is that it significantly increases its resale value.  A car that has been well looked after will fetch a greater sale price than one that has been clearly neglected.  Put another way, it’s quite likely that you will be able to recoup your valeting costs at the time of sale!

Why shouldn’t I use an automatic car wash?
Even the most effective and advanced car wash will damage your car .They use detergents and chemicals which are harmful to the paintwork.  It is likely they will accelerate the paintwork’s ageing process and contribute to fading and oxidation.  These overly strong chemicals are used to compensate for the inefficiency of the giant rollers.  In addition to this, the rollers create thousands of tiny scratches in swirling patterns on your bodywork.  The consequences of regular visits to an automatic car wash will certainly be realised when it comes to selling your car.

What is the difference between shampooing and steam cleaning of carpets and upholstery?
Effective steam cleaning requires that the seats and carpets should be removed from the car (due to the temperature of the steam).  They should then be completely saturated, left to day for at least 48 hours and then refitted.  In most situations this is obviously not feasible.

We shampoo carpets and upholstery using a powerful extraction machine.  This does not require their removal from the car and results in a far quicker drying time.  Using the best cleaning solutions and the right balances, we ensure that this method achieves the same quality of finish as that of steam cleaning.

Why should I have my car waxed?
Firstly, it keeps airborne contaminants from reaching the paint and starting a chemical reaction.  Secondly, it diffuses (refracts) UV and infrared radiation from the sun, thus preventing both from being absorbed by the pigment in the paint, which in turn would result in overheating, dullness and oxidising of the paint.  A waxed car will actually have a lower paint surface temperature than an unwaxed car!
